Our Program…

Since 1989, NORTHWOODS AT HILLTOP has been providing comprehensive brain injury rehabilitation for adults, ages 19 and older.

Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team to maximize each individual’s potential for functional recovery. Our services extend to the family and we include the family as an important  member of the treatment team.  We encourage family members to participate. . . not only in developing  treatment goals, but also in the entire   rehabilitation process to facilitate discharge home. Care is provided in a  culturally sensitive environment with special attention to the needs of  visiting family members, as well as our patients.

Each patient is considered a very  special individual with unique medical rehabilitation and psychosocial needs. These individual needs are supported by the scope and quality of the services we offer.

NORTHWOODS AT HILLTOP is able to care for and treat patients with  Acquired Brain Injury that also have other medically complex needs. Patients can be admitted with:

• Tracheotomies
• Feeding Tubes
• Orthopedic Needs
• IV Antibiotics, Hydration
• Wound Care
• Catheters
• TPN
• MRSA, VRE
• Dialysis Needs
• Post Surgical Needs
• Vent Dependency
• Respiratory Care, including C-PAP and Bi-PAP

NORTHWOODS AT HILLTOP accepts patients with traumatic brain injury diagnoses including:

• Traumatic Brain Injury
• Skull Fracture
• Brain Tumor
• Aneurysm
• Infectious, Anoxic, Hypoxic, or Toxic Encephalopathy
• Cerebral Vascular Accident (CVA) / Stroke
• Post Injury Hydrocephalus

Our goal is to enhance the quality of life of individuals with traumatic brain injury...one patient at a time.
